BIG DAY OUT Employee Induction

Employment Safety Rules :- On arrival you will be directed by a Marshall to the staff car parking area. Have your car pass in hand and follow the Marshall’s directions. Once parked you will then report to Accreditation where you will be checked in and given a wrist band. You will also be given directions on where you will be stationed for the day and where you can change into your staff t-shirt. Clothing and closed toe footwear on the day of the Concert should be casual and comfortable. Sneakers and shorts are acceptable but no high cut, brief or tight shorts. When commencing your shift please sign your entry in the time/log sheet, and sign again when you finish your shift. You must have permission from your Bar Captain to leave your post during your shift this includes breaks. You are required to work in a healthy and safe manner and within the Food Laws, Standards and Workplace Health & Safety requirements. Encourage others to work in a healthy & safe manner. Treat all fellow work colleagues with courtesy and respect and co-operate, support and promote WPH & Safety in the workplace. Please report or rectify any unsafe conditions that come to your attention, you must contact your Duty Supervisor with the details. Use personal “due diligence” in your work practice. No Alcohol or non-legal drugs to be consumed before or during work hours. No shouting, or use of profane or discriminative language. No chewing of gum or sweets whilst on duty. No throwing of foods, equipment or practical jokes. Treat all light and fragile equipment with care, personally clean after use and return to its proper place. Parklands is a “smoke free zone” and smoking is not allowed indoors. You may smoke during your break, in the designated smoke area’s, which are located throughout the Big Day Out site. Breaks can not be taken unless cleared by the Bar Captain. Staff Amenities :- Staff toilets are located throughout the Big Day Out site. You will be advised of coffee and meal break times by the Bar Captain. Lunch and dinner will be provided on the day as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Rosters / Shift Times :- You will have been notified of your start time. Everyone should be in their respective work areas in their work t-shirts, 10 minutes before the start of their shift. First Aid :- If you require first aid please advise the Bar Captain. We have a qualified first aid person and/or Para-medic who is on course during the day of the event, alternatively please contact Bar Captain, who will be able to assist you. It is your responsibility to report all accidents to the Bar Captain. Sickness :- Please telephone and speak to David Morgan or Robyn Wright in the office ASAP whenever you become aware that you will not be able to attend work. If you cannot telephone yourself ask a family member, friend or neighbour. Emergency Exits and Evacuation :- In the case of an emergency and when you have been advised to evacuate please be advised by Bar Captain on Emergency Evacuation Procedure.
