Harness Racing

The Harness racing track is 1000-metre long. The surface consists of a granite mixture, which is considered to be one of the best racing surfaces in Australia. The Gold Coast Harness Racing Club is referred to as an innovator in Harness Racing as it was the first club in Australia to permanently install a sprint lane. The introduction of the sprint lane was a great step forward, giving more horses a chance to win or at least fill a minor placing.

Harness race meetings are every Thursday lunchtime and Friday nights, once you arrive at Parklands Gold Coast you are fully under cover and in air-conditioned comfort.
